multiple glass fragments salvaged from a wood-lined privy constructed between 1856-61. the fragments and intact medicinal bottles were discovered in the privy located on carpenter street in the city of chicago. the fragments containing embossed lettering were discovered towards the bottom of the pit and likely date to 1860-65.
