exceptionally designed original and intact late 19th century antique american victorian era interior residential parlor room "hall tree" or console coat rack possibly fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. the highly ornamented oversized coat and/or coat hook contains traces of a partially intact copper-plated finish. the triple-hook features a menacing open-mouthed figural grotesque with palmette motif above. the antique american hook has been lightly cleaned. limited quantity available. measures approximately 4 inches from the wall at 7 inches tall.
