one of two slightly different heavily ornamented original and intact c. 1892 antique american oversized salvaged chicago residential transom windows featuring a combination of clear beveled-edges and textured clear and "sun-purple" glass. the rectangular-shaped 19th century victorian era transom stained glass window was removed from a chicago graystone built around in 1892. the nicely designed leaded glass transom window features a centrally located stylized palmette or anthemion flanked by scrollwork. the pine wood sash frame is original and structurally sound. multiple faceted glass jewels accentuate the window's overall design. the window is attributed to mcculley & miles, chicago, il. the lead caming remains sound and intact. a similar window (larger) from the same house is available. 60 1/4 x 20"
