late 19th or early 20th century all original and amazingly intact antique american industrial dietzgen solid oak wood draftsman stool designed and fabricated by the eugene dietzgen co., principal factory, chicago, il. the four-legged stool with flared legs is structurally sound and stable. the intact bentwood heel ring or footrest is supported by curved wood brackets fastened to each leg. the revolving stool seat retains the original woven cloth cover with detachable padded black leather cushion. the perforated cast iron "wheel" supporting the solid threaded steel spindle retains the original baked-on black enameled finish. the seat height is fully adjustable. the varnished finish is mostly uniform throughout. great overall condition, considering age. measures 15 inches in diameter x 31 inches high.
