c. 1890's original american made interior residential late victorian era fanciful colonnades salvaged from a chicago graystone residence undergoing demolition. the matching bases contain recessed panels outlined with a beaded border. the baseboard or plinth molding is accentuated with an egg & dart trimwork. the finely turned and slightly tapered oak wood columns are partially fluted. the ionic style gesso capitals are original and largely intact. the room divider was fabricated by the decorators's supply co., chicago, il. original varnished finish. surface wear evident.
