original 19th century american victorian era fanciful cast brass residential passage door privacy latch thumbtwist fabricated by either branford lock works or hopkins & dickinson. the diminutive thumbtwist handle was salvaged from the extant david c. cook mansion, located in elgin, il. the matching backplate or escutcheon is included. metallic bronze enameled inlay enhances the casting detail. priced for the unit (excluding the sliding bolt and catch). measures 1 x 1 inches.
