hard to find early 20th century single-sided antique american industrial hand-painted directional arrow cautionary school zone speed warning sign. the remarkably robust heavy gauge steel sign was originally mounted on a street sign post near a chicago school. the uniquely-shaped heavy gauge steel sign with original white and black paint finish remains largely intact. paint discoloration, crazing and general surface wear consistent with age. measures 30 x 12 inches. likely fabricated in-house by the chicago streets and sanitation department.
