original c. 1940's vintage industrial "pollard" factory machine shop workbench salvaged from an old chicago boiler works factory. the tabletop consists of closely-spaced pine wood planks bolted tightly against two heavy gauge angled steel bases. the three-sided rail guard is made of wood and retains the original "factory green" paint finish. contains a single lockable pull-out drawer with the name "pollard' lightly embossed front and center. the angled steel legs retain the original welded joint floor plates used for added support and stability, along with anchoring the table into the floor if necessary. the stretcher and footrest are comprised of painted pine wood. the work bench exhibits typical surface wear consistent with age. very appealing contrast between the old green and natural wood finish. measures 73 1/2 x 29 1/2 x 32 inches.
