strong and sturdy original early 20th century american antique industrial factory workshop metal lathe machine base repurposed into a low-lying stationary side table or nightstand. the newly added table top id comprised of solid cherry wood that has been planed, sanded and sealed. the cast iron machine base was likely fabricated by the d.e. whiton machine co., new london, ct. the uniquely shaped metal base has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the rectangular-shaped cherry wood top is fastened tightly against the heavy duty machine base. only one available in this configuration with these specific materials. base measures 20 inches x 15 inches, table height measures 19 1/4 inches, table top measures 18 inches x 2 inches x 11 1/2 inches.
