beautifully simplistic reinforced american industrial freestanding custom-built multipurpose workbench or desk containing a newly added tabletop and overshelf, comprised of solid maple wood floor boards recycled from decommissioned railroad boxcars. the tabletop and shelf are supported by two vintage rigid heavy gauge angled iron bases designed and fabricated by the pollard brothers mfg. co., chicago, il. the rock hard maple wood top has been sanded and sealed, with the original oversized steel or iron bolt heads left in place. the two bases have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the overshelf is supported by opposed oversized steel pipe containing top and bottom flanges. additional desks in similar configurations (and materials) available upon request. measures 49 1/2 inches x 30 1/2 inches. the tabletop measures at 35 inches in height. the overshelf measures at 45 1/2 inches in height.
