original and fully functional early 1920's american antique medical four-legged bent tubular steel hospital operating room stationary stool designed and fabricated by the frank s. betz company, hammond, ind. the circular-shaped seat is fully adjustable and rotates clockwise or counterclockwise to achieve desired height. the cabriole style legs are reinforced with an all-welded joint x-shaped stretcher or brace for added support and stability. the cradle supporting the solid threaded steel spindle is of sound construction. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 20 x 19 x 24 inches high.
