c. 1900-15 original and structurally sound intact antique american medical bent tubular steel interior hospital bedside chair salvaged from an upstate michigan asylum. the lightweight stool is comprised of cold rolled "furniture" steel with a brushed and sealed metal finish. very simple yet elegant design, with a flat stationary seat, slightly flared tubular legs and loop-back steel backrest. the seat measures 18 inches in height. fabricated around 1900-10 by the w.d. allison mfg. co., indianapolis, ind. multiple chairs in similar style and/or configuration available. measures 15 x 15 x 35 1/2 inches.
