thoroughly cleaned and refinished antique american industrial repurposed "simplex" stationary side table or desk. the reinforced cast iron base was used to support an oversized printing shop typesetting machine. the two bases were fabricated by or for the simplex mfg. co., new york city, ny. the impressive poplar wood slab has been painstakingly planed down and carefully refinished. the robust iron legs and stretcher rods were brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface rust, etc. the repurposed table is complete and ready for immediate installation. 25 x 67 x 30"
