fully functional depression era brenkert brenograph jr. "cloud machine" projector manufactured by the brenkert light projection company, detroit, mi. the projector was used to project images of moving clouds on blue painted ceilings of atmospheric theaters - many designed by john eberson. the projector is self-automated, with a universal electric motor capable of running at varying speeds. the projector retains the original 1500 watt light bulb used to illuminate a transparent negative plastic film wheel housed within the oversized detachable circular-shaped disc. the wheel contains both nimbus and cumulus clouds. the riveted joint steel can housing the mogul base incandescent light is supported by a swivel and trunnion bracket.
