original early 1920's american vintage industrial heavy gauge steel pipefitter's portable tool box salvaged from an old chicago boiler gauge factory. the reinforced tool box is comprised of pressed and folded galvanized steel with a brushed metal finish. the rolled rim top contains riveted joint stanley strap hinges, lockable hasp and a heavy duty drop handle. the bottom contains a riveted joint band of steel along the edges for added reinforcement. likely custom built. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 18 x 11 x 9 inches.
