heavily worn early 20th century american antique industrial freestanding rock hard maple fulton meat parking market wood butcher block table fabricated by john boos & co., effingham, il. the remarkably heavy work table is supported by finely tapered and turned matching yellow pine wood legs, with three missing sections as shown in the product photograph. the assembled cutting block features end-grain construction for added strength and durability. the cutting board surface exhibits considerable wear and tear, consistent with age and frequency of use. the massive threaded steel through bolts are structurally sound and secure, with original wood plugs used to conceal the bolt heads. the butcher's table was salvaged from a chicago fulton market processing facility. measures 24 1/4 x 24 1/4 x 31 3/4 inches.
