original and intact c. 1905 clear patent medicine bottle manufactured for the evans chemical company and retrieved from a chicago area privy. the deeply rounded shoulders exhibit strong side seams that stop at the applied neck and finish, a typical heavy flared "prescription" lip. the colorless glass has relatively little exterior haze, and has only a few spots of discoloration. embossed along the front body is "the evans / chemical/ company / proprietors / g / cincinnati, oh" with the 'g' being a large decorative logo-like letter. the big 'g' was a euphemistic name for gonorrhea, which this particular elixir purported to cure. overall in very good condition. measures 5.25 inches high.
