unique c. 1950's mostly intact vintage medical human articulating skeleton salvaged from michael reese hospital, chicago, il. originally cast from molds prepared from the bones of an adult male. features a 3-part skull with with spring-articulated mandible and detachable calvaria for access to the neuro-cranium. the bones on the right side have been hand-painted to illustrate muscle origins in red and insertions in blue. the resilient synthetic ligaments flexibly-articulate the right shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, providing realistic anatomical functionality and convincing detail. hand-painted black enameled numbers throughout. manufactured by the denoyer-geppert co., chicago, il.
