remarkably intact and all original privy dug late 1840's antique american c. allen browne mineral waters emerald green glass bottle possibly fabricated by the dyottville glassworks, philadelphia, pa. the richly colored hinged-mold mid-19th century american dug bottle features very vivid and deeply embossed lettering along the face of the body. the long and narrow neck is topped off with an applied tapered lip or collar. the very rough and deeply indented or "kick-up" iron-pontiled base is extremely crude. the strong "strike" shows very little sign of surface wear. the allover iridescence makes the bottle much more visually attractive. bubbles or seeds, whittling, stretch marks and other crudities consistent with age. extremely rare bottle in excellent overall condition.
