all original and completely intact post-fire chicago c. 1876-78 heavily ornamented foliated scroll comprised of cast iron with a brushed bare metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the impressive cast iron exterior ornament was salvaged from a chicago gold coast mansion's oversized chimney. the single-sided chicago residential artifact features curvaceous volutes accentuated with floral motifs. only one available.
