late 1940's fully functional american industrial brushed metal telescoping "adjusrite" stool with original swivel casters

late 1940's vintage american industrial telescoping "adjustrite" pressed and folded steel stationary hospital research laboratory stool with an all-metal backless seat. the single stool features two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of each stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are structurally sound and stable. the lightweight stool contains a brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. the bassick swivel casters with chrome plated housings are original and intact. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's. the base measures approximately 12 x 12 with an adjustable height ranging between 20 - 28 inches.
