all original 19th century american primitive train depot office "pigeon hole" cabinet typically used for storing various forms of stationary. the cabinet maker or fabricator is not known. salvaged from an old southern illinois train depot many years ago. the freestanding cabinet contains a total of seventy equally spaced cubby holes. the stationary "spacers" or dividers contain notched joinery clearly visible from the front. the mitered joint baseboard is original and intact. the cabinet has a nicely worn and weathered surface patina, consistent with age. interlocking beadboard backside intact. measures 48 x 12 x 43 inches.
