all original and largely intact antique american victorian era varnished oak wood fretwork panel flanked by two square diminutive columns. the fanciful wood assembly was removed from a badly damaged built-in cabinet fabricated by the chicago embossed moulding co., chicago, il. the delicate fretwork features intricately designed and symmetrically configured floriated scrollwork free from breaks, cracks or missing pieces. the supporting pilasters retain the original neoclassical style gesso ornamented capitals. original varnished finish largely intact. measures 34 1/2 x 16 1/4 x 3 inches.
