single original and largely intact nicely worn and weathered antique american folk art boot maker trade sign fabricated by hand. the sign painter or artist is not known. the double-sided sign is comprised of heavy gauge steel with original red and black paint color scheme. the bold lettering is hand-painted with an allover crazed finish from prolonged exposure to the elements. remarkably, the majority of the riveted joint wrought iron bracket used to suspend the sign above the storefront entrance remain intact. one side contains more wear than the other. the nicely aged patina has not been altered, cleaned or touched up. measures approximately 24 x 3 x 33 inches.
