nicely worn antique american industrial low-lying four-legged solid mahogany wood factory machinist factory stationary stool designed and fabricated by the johnson chair co., chicago, il. the lightly stained stool contains finely turned and tapered legs with spindle cross-bracing or stretchers for added reinforcement. the revolving seat with slightly sunken center is tightly affixed to a solid steel threaded rod supported by a circular-shaped iron ring attached to each of the legs. salvaged from the old (la salle street location) parisian novelty company factory located in chicago. seat height adjusts from approximately 18 to 22 inches.
