nicely worn 19th or early 20th century antique american industrial oversized wrought iron or steel heavy duty padlock with original fully functional barrel key. the refinished riveted joint working padlock was likely fabricated by the eagle lock works (founded in 1833), terryville, ct. the padlock contains lightly incised floral motifs, along with a moon and star. the trademarked lock retains the original swinging keyhole cover. the lock has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
