oversized late 1950's vintage industrial all-welded tubular steel stationary welding curtain stand salvaged from a recently shuttered specialty metal office furniture factory (formerly a standard oil of indiana administration building), located on the west side of chicago. the very large freestanding steel frame has been repurposed into a sizable bookshelf containing three evenly spaced tiers comprised of newly added hickory wood shelves capped with a raised edges from behind. the lightweight shelving unit has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. very clean and sleek in appearance. measures 60 x 11 1/2 x 79 inches.
