two matching c. 1900's antique american art nouveau style ornamental wrought bronze "eulalia" pattern doorknob backplates designed and fabricated by the reading hardware company, reading, pa. the doorknob backplates were salvaged from a chicago apartment building constructed around 1903-5. the escutcheons feature deeply embossed repeating leafage surrounding the keyhole and thimble. mostly uniform surface patina. measure approximately 7 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. priced for the pair.
