pair of original american victorian era 19th century ornamental cast iron exterior residential ball-top finial newel posts salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1890. the two matching staircase posts were fabricated by the dearborn foundry co., chicago, il. the original black enameled finish remains largely intact. the uniquely-shaped posts contain an octagonal base, rosettes and unadorned ball finials. priced for the pair. measure 8 x 37 inches.
