pair of original american victorian era ornamental cast bronze passage size interior residential doorknobs salvaged from a new york city rowhouse built around 1879. the two matching antique doorknobs were manufactured by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the elaborately designed dome-shaped doorknobs contain a simple banded rim with picket fence border. equally intense ornament carries over on the backside of the doorknob. mostly uniform surface patina. measure approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter. priced for the set.
