documenting construction materials and methods of a transplanted 19th century workers cottage

when time permits, i will make sure to supplement the following series of images with an explanation and discussion of this salvage. the photos document the demolition of a 19th century victorian era transplanted wood-framed workers cottage.
two interesting finds during the demolition:
the discovery of a 19th century applied "blob top" hutchinson-shaped john lomax soda bottle (found within one of the walls when the wood sheathing was stripped away), which if planted there during construction of the house, dates it to 1885-1888.
a wrought iron horseshoe outfitted with caulkins or studs (for added traction) was discovered nailed (with cut or square nails) against one of the cedar posts used to support the notched sill plates. it may very well have been taken off a hoof of one of the draft or work horses that were used to move the house as it was rolled into place on the very logs that were later used to support it.
the last gallery shown below contains various building materials, including, but not limited to, a single cedar log with its markings, the bottle and horseshoe and a fragment of a triangular-shaped fret-sawn wood gable "gingerbread" ornament with the original, or at the very least, an early allover crazed paint finish left uncleaned. all of these artifacts were photographed in my studio and are now part of the bldg. 51 building material archive.
update as of 8-18-2015: additional images of building materials harvested from the 19th century homer street wood-framed house (during demolition). from left to right: beveled and/or chamfered edge girt segment with tenon, stud with tenon, and a notched sill plate after being lightly refinished and photographed in the studio late this evening. the specimens are comprised of old growth pine wood with circular saw markings.
