original 19th century hand-carved brownstone (brown triassic sandstone) sunken relief building facade figural roundel salvaged in 1961 from a new york city commercial structure undergoing demolition. the remarkably detailed exterior stone roundel features a female profile encircled in a beveled border. the exact fabricator is not known. the surface patina is largely uniform throughout. one of two. priced individually. measures 25 x 5 inches.
