single c. 1880's original ornamental wrought brass dome-shaped "ceylon" pattern interior residential passage size doorknob designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the distinctive banded rim doorknob contains a mostly uniform surface finish. the shank and spindle/set screw openings show very little year. very popular pattern used throughout the late and early 20th century. measures approximately 2 inches in diameter.
