all original oversized c. 1930's american industrial "fire-cry" single-station wall-mount fire alarm bell designed and fabricated by the fire-cry co., dayton, oh. the fire alarm contains a spring-loaded motor contained within the red enameled housing. the chrome plated steel gong is original, but does contains surface pitting. the bell that "cries fire" was salvaged from the attic of the allen loeb mansion located in highland park, il. measures 7 1/2 inches in diameter x 5 inches in height.
