solidly built unique american industrial united states post office chicago processing facility mobile mail cart fabricated by the corbin cabinet lock company (signed and dated along the underside) in 1947. the four-legged base is comprised of oak wood with iron pipe stretchers or footrests mounted along the front and back side. the "bassick" hardened black rubber swivel casters with pressed steel forks are original and intact. the dovetailed edge single compartment upper bin is shallow, but very spacious. original varnished finish largely intact, with expected surface wear evident. well-proportioned and highly functional in a variety of applications and/or settings. only one available. measures 54 x 26 x 39 inches.
