single c. 1850's iron-pontiled deep blue aqua mineral water bottle manufactured for joseph kennedy in pittsburgh, pennsylvania. the soda shaped glass has low tapering shoulders and a long narrow neck finished with an intact applied tapered collar that exhibits some slop and surface wear. the front body is embossed "j. kennedy / mineral water / pittsburg" (note spelling without an 'h') with slight casewear. at its base is a moderate kickup that retains a light residue from the iron pontil. the bottle features large bubbles, allover seeding, and a crude finish, evidencing its age and date of manufacture. the bottle has been lightly cleaned so has little discoloration and no haze.
