refinished brushed metal vintage american medical cook county hospital room supply cabinet designed and fabricated by th frank s. betz company, hammond, ind. the cold-rolled furniture sheet steel cabinet has been brushed to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the original plate glass top was lost long ago. the replacement top is comprised of solid rock hard maple wood refinished and clear coated. the cabinet contains a unique storage configuration, consisting of a oversized hinged drop-down door, three pull-out drawers and a smaller cabinet door with surface-mount strap hinges. the four-legged base is heavily reinforced angled steel. measures 29 x 21 x 34 1/2 inches.
