vintage c. 1930's cobalt blue porcelain enameled "n. 27th st." single-sided city street sign. the depression era exterior sign was removed from the streets of chicago and/or surrounding areas. the blue with white letter porcelain enameled finish remains largely intact. these older signs were gradually replaced over the years when streets and sanitation introduced newer versions or variations. older street sign are becoming increasingly scarce and difficult to find. possibly fabricated by the burdick enamel sign co., chicago, il. measures 20 x 4 inches.
