antique american interior theater auditorium orchestra pit stationary music stand salvaged from the old congress theater located in chicago, il. the revolving an tilting music "desk" is comprised of thin sheet steel with angled ledge. the solid steel telescoping extension is contained within a larger tubular member supported by a fanciful cast iron three-legged weighted base. fabricated by the hamilton mfg. co., two rivers, wi. contains an early allover metallic gold paint finish aged naturally over time. when fully extended, the stand measures 67 inches in height. the "desk" measures 13 1/4 x 17 1/4 inches.
