intact c. 1940's vintage american industrial electric wall mount analog clock salvaged from an old chicago tool & die factory office. the clock case is comprised of mahogany wood with original stained finish largely intact. the clock face is made of sheet steel with a white and black enameled finish. original chrome plated hour and minute hands. clear glass cover free from damage. motor and cord intact. fabricated by the seth thomas clock co., thomaston, mass. measures 13 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches. the seth thomas company was incorporated as the "seth thomas clock company" in 1853. the clock at grand central terminal in new york city was manufactured by the company. seth thomas clock company manufactured longcase clocks as well as mantel, wall, and table-top clocks.
