late 1860's original and nicely worn and weathered brown painted pine wood chicago commercial building utility door possibly fabricated by the c.j.l. meyer mfg. co., chicago, il. the antique american hinged passage door contains four panes of glass divided by the original wood muntins. one pane of glass, containing etched advertising, was likely used to replace a broken pane sometime in the 19th century. two raised panel are located directly below the door's lock rail. salvaged from 500 north milwaukee avenue. several doors, newel posts and other millwork was salvaged from this location.
