c. 1910-15 original and intact american antique craftsman flush mount floor grate or heat register designed and fabricated by or for the hess warming & ventilating co., chicago, il. the black enameled cast iron gridded grate is in good overall condition, considering age. the large perforated grille or grate was salvaged from a chicago bungalow residence facing the wrecking ball. the grate contains four screw holes for mounting purposes. only one available in this configuration.
