set of original american industrial cast iron factory machine shop bases possibly fabricated by or for the w.a. jones foundry & machine company, chicago, il. the specialized bases containing a multitude of holes for stretcher rods, etc., were salvaged from a west side chicago factory specializing in the fabrication of sheet metal. the matching bases have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer. the bases are in great overall condition. likely fabricated around 1910-20. priced for the pair. measures 21.5 x 3 x 30 inches.
