original vintage american freestanding interior elevator cab revolving stool with original solid white oak wood seat. the uniformed elevator operator stool is comprised largely of cast iron refinished in period appropriate black paint. the finely turned spindle is supported by a tapered pedestal circular base with four pre-drilled screw holes for anchoring into the floor. the rotating varnished oak seat is supported along the underside by three cast iron brackets attached to a central rod. possibly fabricated by the f.h. logeman chair mfg. co., st. louis, mo. salvaged from a chicago commercial building. two nearly identical stools available. measures 25 1/2 inches in height.
