original antique american single-sided exterior theater marquee letter sign manufactured around 1916 by the opalite sign corp., chicago, il. the sign consists of a lightweight galvanized tin stenciled enclosure with bendable tabs used to secure a pressed white opalescent glass letter (lost long ago). retains the original blue paint finish over metal. salvaged from an old (non-extant) theater located in northwestern indiana. minor paint loss and surface expected with age. measures 11 x 7 1/2 inches.
