c. 1900's antique american interior residential ornamental copper-plated cast iron doorknob backplate possibly fabricated by lockwood or the reading hardware company. the passage door backplate contains embossed volutes surrounding the top and bottom screw holes. the protruding wrought steel collar or thimble remains intact. only one available. measures approximately 7 3/8 x 1 7/8 inches.
