completely intact late 1920's vintage american made "golden rod" embossed steel railroad mechanic oil can designed and patented by fred i. jaden for the f. jaden mfg. co., hastings, ne. original thumblatch lever operates the diaphragm of the pump. the cylindrical body features deeply embossed manufacturer markings, identifying maker and brand name. patent date lightly incised along the thumblatch. naturally aged wear and tear evident. reservoir cap intact. long tapered tubular spout tightly affixed to the can.
