original late 19th or early 20th century ornamental cast bronze "belfort" pattern vestibule or entrance doorknob and matching backplate designed and fabricated by the reading hardware company, reading, pa. the salvaged chicago hardware has a nicely aged surface patina throughout. the oversized backplate retains the original swinging keyhole cover.
