out of print early 20th century hardcover catalog combines the works of american sash and door company, kansas city, m.o. and united sash and door co. witchita, k.s. in one large complete universal design book. original olive green buckram cloth cover formally stamped with the title in white, the lettering has faded to a lighter green. spine and edges are rubbed and the cover has detached from the front half of the spine. one page has detached completly but is still included. interior illustration is in good condition remaining brightly colored. this edition contains 396 pages of the compiled prices and measurements of doors, glass, colonnades, mouldings, stairwork, etc. offered by the former design firms. the intro reads "in compiling this design book, we have endeavored, as far as possible to meet the requirements of the prospective home builder, as well as architect, contractor, and dealer, and in so doing, have eliminated a great number of superfluous designs, limiting the book to what we, after careful study, consider universal designs." measures 7 x 10 inches
