two matching original c. 1920's antique american richly designed sullivanesque style "stock" white glazed terra cotta diminutive blocks fabricated by the midland terra cotta company, chicago, ills. the lightly crazed glazed terra cotta auto garage facade panels were known simply as "a503" in the company's product catalogs. the square-shaped blocks were designed to accentuate the larger panels or area of face brick along the facade. the blocks feature design elements heavily inspired by both louis h. sullivan and george grant elmsie. the rear cavity for each block has been carefully cleaned and any and all brick and mortar removed. the masonry and terra cotta garage was constructed in the mid-1920's. located on the west side of chicago, the building was demolished in january of 2016 to make way for condo development. several pieces in various configurations available from this salvage.
